Rexton von Rees is a stunning 17 month old AKC German Shepherd, black and red, everything anyone could dream of!! This boy will “wow” you.  He is filled with so many amazing qualities that it will be hard to mention them all here -- but we will try! We’ll start by telling you about his calm, mid-energy personality that makes him a perfect addition to any situation. He meets humans and other dogs extremely well and with no problems, bonding quickly with new friends. Everyone loves his mellow and sweet demeanor. Next, we will tell you about his exemplary manners. On the leash, Rexton walks very nicely and takes his time exploring. In doggy playgroups, he is polite with the other dogs and is very comfortable around them. With humans, he kindly asks for affection and will sit by your side for hours. Finally, we will detail his skills. We were told that Rexton  is good in the yard, does well when left alone in the house (he’s house-trained and crate-trained), knows a variety of commands (like sit, paw, lay down and stay) and is good with kids. Rexton comes with life time training from Paradise Ranch in Burbank!

   Now comes the sad part, Rexton has been bounced from home to home, no one has the time or money to help him! He has a condition called EPI which is very typical of shepherds who need an enzyme added to their food to digest their food properly, he should gain weight now. We have to confirm with one more test, but so far he is doing well. This is the easy part. Then comes the fact that both of his hips aren’t good. Once Rexton is a safe weight for surgery he will have an FHO on the worst hip and then some months later the next hip. The rescue pays for the hip surgeries at our vet. Do you still want this magnificent dog, he is so gentle and incredible, he just wants to give you gentle kisses. We are so afraid he will sit in the kennel for months waiting for his surgeries!! Want to foster to adopt Rexton while he gains weight and enjoys life again and then have his surgeries and then when he is done adopt him?? Sounds pretty amazing you get a dream dog and all you will have to pay for is his enzymes and he can never get hip dysplasia after the surgeires. At least meet him, you will see!
